A couple of phrasal verbs with examples and Turkish explanations.

  1. If you eat fast food every day, you will end up overweight or ill.
    end up: sonuçlanmak, olup çıkmak, bitirmek
  2. My sister and I get along very well now, but we used to fight a lot.
    get along: geçinmek, anlaşmak, uyuşmak; ilerlemek, devam etmek
  3. He didn’t drink enough water so he passed out at the end of the race.
    pass out: dağıtmak, vermek; bayılmak
  4. I didn’t have an excuse, so I made one up.
    make up: uydurmak, oluşturmak; makyaj yapmak
  5. Yakup hung up on me. He didn’t want to speak anymore.
